MINI India has launched a factory-backed customization program called Mod My MINI, allowing owners to personalize nearly every visual aspect of their vehicles through the brand’s dealer network.
Over 2.5 million combinations for a one-of-a-kind look
The program applies to the Cooper and Countryman models. Owners can modify roofs, mirror caps, spoilers, and brake calipers. A catalog of more than 100 classic MINI paint shades, exclusive themed decals, and genuine accessories offers roughly 2.5 million possible combinations.
Company representatives state this ensures each customized car feels unique. All decals installed through the program include a 24-month warranty for factory-grade durability.
Hardeep Singh Brar, President and CEO of BMW Group India, said the initiative goes beyond selling accessories. “MINI has never been just a mode of transport; it is a declaration of personal style,” he explained. “We believe no two MINIs on the road should look identical, so the program gives owners full control over the design.”
Brar noted that true luxury means having the freedom to choose, allowing each vehicle to reflect its owner’s personality.
Available through 17 dealerships across 16 cities
The customization option is available at MINI’s authorized dealers, including Bird Automotive and Deutsche Motoren in Delhi NCR, Infinity Cars in Mumbai, and Krishna Automobiles in Chandigarh. Other locations cover Chennai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Pune, Kochi, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, Guwahati, Ranchi, Surat, Jaipur, and Jodhpur.

Customers can visit their nearest dealer to browse options, check part availability, and start customizing. Servicing for modified cars remains part of BMW Group India’s aftersales network, which now includes 51 touchpoints in 36 cities.
The program aims to strengthen MINI’s identity as a platform for self-expression. Its scale suggests the company expects Indian buyers, who increasingly value personalization, to prefer factory-backed modifications over aftermarket alternatives.
This effort comes as competition in the premium compact segment grows, with rivals introducing their own customization options. MINI’s advantage lies in its reputation for individuality, which may appeal in a market where car ownership often reflects status and personal taste.
No two MINIs, ever
The program aligns with MINI’s philosophy that every car should stand out. With so many combinations available, the brand expects owners to take the opportunity to create something unique while maintaining the reliability of factory parts and service.
Dealers must now manage inventory, installation timelines, and customer expectations as demand increases. Success could redefine how automakers approach personalization in India’s evolving car market.
A similar focus on individuality can be seen in other segments, like the lean thrill of the Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 Apex, where customization plays a key role in buyer appeal.
